- Official textbooks. NCTB e-books for Class 1 to 12 are free from the government. Pick your class and read online.
- Public domain. When a writer died a long time ago, the books are free for everyone. In Bangladesh the copyright usually lasts the writer's life plus 60 years. Tagore, Bankim, Sarat Chandra and Begum Rokeya are free to read on Wikisource and Project Gutenberg.
- Open licence (Creative Commons). Some authors share their books on purpose. OpenStax, LibreTexts, Wikibooks and StoryWeaver are like this.
- Lawful borrowing. Open Library and the Internet Archive lend digital books free, one reader at a time, with a free account.
- Your school and public library. Ask your teacher or librarian. Many books are free to borrow and read there.
- Author or publisher pages. Many give a free sample chapter or a free full book. Read it on their own website.
